The manufacturer managed to engineer one of the most efficient cars in the world’s lineup and still make it utterly sexy. Every crack and crevice of this model has multiple benefits to it. The grille is designed for efficient engine cooling and speed enhancement. The cut of the hood allows it to slice through the wind for maximum performance. The wheels are made for style and prestige. Aside from all that, the model has an excellent lineup of exterior color options that will definitely make heads spin when people see you drive by.

3. Above Average Fuel Efficiency

Nowadays, amazing fuel efficiency is on the top of the list of features that consumers want. You will get that no matter what year model you purchase. You’ll even receive that same excellent gas mileage if you purchase a 2006 model. The manufacturer was consistent in its efforts to make an efficient automobile. You can have 100 percent confidence in buying a cheap used car with the KIA name on it.

4. Comprehensive Safety Feature Suite

This model also offers some key safety features that will make your driving experience secure and enjoyable. Some of the features that you may see on a slightly used model are features such as the dual front advanced airbags, hill-start assist control, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system and the internal emergency trunk release. The internal emergency trunk release allows you to open the trunk from inside the vehicle in case you have an emergency. The tire pressure monitoring system tells you if one or more of your tires has low pressure so that you can tend to it immediately. Electronic stability control keeps your car nice and grounded no matter what the driving conditions are. This car has many more features for your protection. You just need to visit the dealership to get a full list of them all.

5. Spacious Interior

This car offers lots of space if you’re going to be traveling with your family or friends. Most models can seat at least five, and they have four large doors for your guests to open. The trunk space and cargo space are so plentiful that you’ll feel like you’re at home when you’re in the vehicle.

New Car Review |2019 Mazda CX-5

2019 Mazda CX-5 – Trim Levels, Features And Pricing
The CX-5 outsold the rest of Mazda’s lineup in 2018 in United States, and it became a symbol for the Japanese company’s ambition when it comes to becoming a premium brand. The compact crossover is able to compete in a mainstream segment on both performance as well as price, with the vehicle being stylish and refined, as well as more engaging to drive compared to other crossovers in a similar price range.

The 2019 small crossover SUV is part of the 2nd CX-5 generation, which was introduced back in 2017. The new model comes in 5 trim levels, which are Sport, Touring, GT (Grand Touring), GT Reserve, and last but not least Signature. The new 2019 model comes in a new range-topping trim (Signature) featuring, leather, chrome, wood, ambient cabin lighting, as well as other premium items.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration has been added, and a new engine is used to propel the higher trims. Moreover, the torque vectoring by braking as well as suspension systems have been refined.

As far as style goes, the cabin has a premium feel, having classy touches such as the push-button start feature, the 7-inch infotainment touch screen system, and the elegant chrome-surround vents. One small notable feature is that the wide-opening doors makes it easy for child seats to be installed. The vehicle offers 30.9 cubic feet of cargo space, which expands to 59.6 once the 40/20/40 seats are completely down.

The suspension setup featured by the new model offers the passengers a quality ride that is firmer compared to other compact crossovers. Road imperfections get dealt with right away, and the ride never feels floaty. The automatic climate control system manages to keep the temperature constant, and is aided by the rear air vents featured on the Touring trim.

The steering allows turns and parking lot maneuvers to be executed with ease, and a slight buildup of effort when it comes to higher speeds helps the driver know where the wheels are pointing. The brakes also allow the vehicle to have a smooth stop, taking 121 feet to stop from a speed of 60 mph. The car excels in the handling area, being sharp and communicative, and being able to take corners at higher speeds than its rivals.

The Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring trim levels are being powered by a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine producing 187 hp and 186 ft-lb of torque, and they also feature front-wheel drive. The higher GT Reserve and Signature trims feature a turbocharged version of the 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine, producing 227 hp and 31 pound-feet of torque.

The turbocharged engine is able to produce 250 horsepower on 91 octane gas, and comes with all-wheel drive as a standard feature. All trim levels are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Sports trim comes with 17-inch wheels, push-button ignition, LED headlights, a 7 inch touchscreen, Bluetooth 2 USB ports, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 4-speaker sound system. When it comes to safety features, the Sports model comes with low-speed forward collision warning as well as mitigation, and also blind spot monitoring featuring rear cross alert.

An optional Sport i-Activesense package is available, adding to the mix automatic headlights, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, lane keeping assist, an upgraded form of forward collision warning and mitigation which features pedestrian detection, as well as automatic windshield wipers.

The safety features included in the i-Activesense package come standard with the Touring model. The Touring trim level also includes keyless entry, automatic wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, rear climate vents, heated front seats, 2 additional USB ports and speakers (for a total of 4), and simulated-leather upholstery.

The list of features that come with the Touring model expands once the optional Preferred package is added, with items such as a power liftgate, a sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, as well as an upgraded 10-speaker Bose sound system.

Moving a step up, the Grand Touring model takes things a step further, and adds 19-inch wheels, LED foglights, adaptive headlights, leather upholstery, heated side mirrors, a power-adjustable seat for the passenger, satellite radio, an upgraded information display, driver-seat memory, and a navigation system.

There is an optional GT Premium package available, which adds power-folding mirrors, a head-up display, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, a windshield wiper de-icer, and heated rear seats.

Last but not least, the GT Reserve and Signature trim levels add the more powerful engine as well all-wheel drive. GT Reserve also features the Grand Touring’s optional features as standard, and the Signature model includes ambient cabin lighting, wood trim accents, front as well as rear parking sensors, premium leather upholstery, and a surround-view camera.

The pricing of the 2019 CX-5 starts at $24,350, with the Touring and Grand Touring trim levels starting at $26,615 and $30,045 respectively. When it comes to the higher trims, Grand Touring Reserve is priced at $34,870, while the high-end Signature model costs $36,890. All-wheel drive is priced at $1,400, being an option available for the first 3 trim levels.

When it comes to driving the new model, the vectoring feature adds to the car’s already excellent abilities in regards to cornering by braking an individual wheel every now and then subtly. The car remains nimble and precise, being able to change direction gracefully. The standard 187 hp engine is energetic and able to get to freeway speeds without any drama. In addition, putting the engine is Sport mode sharpens its responses.

Trips on a Tank! | Milwaukee to Oshkosh | Milwaukee, WI

Trips on a Tank! | Milwaukee to Oshkosh
Milwaukee is a great city to live in, with so much to see and do, from museums and restaurant to professional sports. However, even with so much to keep you occupied, sometimes it’s fun to just hope in the car and get away for a bit.

Oshkosh is a great destination for just a day or week-long summer vacation and there is plenty to see and do both there and along the way. It can be reached in only a couple of hours of driving and on just one tank of gas!

Driving from Milwaukee
A drive via Highway 45, (I-41 from Milwaukee to Richfield) is an easy road trip that is less than 100 miles. This route will take you though some of the most beautiful areas in Wisconsin, through Menomonee Falls, Fond du Lac and along the shore of Lake Winnebago.

Just south of Fond du Lac, where it joins US 151, Highway 45 reaches a point where it jogs to the west and rejoins I-41 and goes north, around Fond du Lac to the junction with WIS 23. From there it follows the shore of Lake Winnebago as a two-lane road and then enters and runs through Oshkosh as Main Street.

Sights to See Along the Way
Menomonee Falls
One of the two major stops along the way is Menomonee Falls, just as you enter Waukesha County. Unbeknownst to most Wisconsin residents outside of Menomonee Falls, with population of 35,626 this is state’s largest “village,” as the folks there just haven’t gotten around to applying to become a city quite yet.

Basse’s Taste of Country

Krueger’s Entertainment Center
Krueger’s Entertainment Center offers families an assortment of games and attractions and has a pub menu with pizza. The arcade features video and redemption games and the center hosts birthday parties.

Fond du Lac
Fond du Lac is the second major stop on this road trip and offers you a good chance to get out of the car for a bit.

Wild Goose State Trail
Wild Goose State Trail, administer by the Wisconsin State Park System, can be accessed in Fond du Lac. The trail follows the western edge of the vast Horicon Marsh, home to over 250 bird species and is world-famous for its abundant migrant waterfowl, wildflowers and other wildlife species.

Fondy Sports Park
Fondy Sports Park is an indoor/outdoor amusement park that offers you the opportunity to ride a kart-style off-road vehicle and also has a go-kart track, bumper boats and mini golf. Snacks and picnic areas are available. Open April to October.

Activities in Oshkosh
Located at the mouth of the Fox River at Lake Winnebago, the city is a friendly town with origins dating back to the mid-1800s lumber industry. Beautiful green spaces for picnicking and water parks, art galleries, historic sights and museums are just a few of the things to do here. Here is a short list of things you and your family can do while you are on summer vacation:

The 2019 Ford Explorer has room to comfortably seat six or seven people. Seats are arranged in three rows in a spacious cabin. A deep cargo provides adequate volume to accommodate sporting gear and rambunctious dogs. Active families who love outdoor life in Wisconsin will appreciate the Explorer’s roominess. Third-row and second-row seats can be folded down to allow for even more cargo capacity.

If seated at the front of the cabin, passengers will notice the open feel of it. Optional sliding captain chair seating in the second row provides more space and leg room and more comfortable experience than the standard bench. Also, it makes it much easier to access the third row. Interior surfaces vary according to which of the three trim models is chosen.

Exterior Features

The most distinctive features one sees when looking at the Explorer’s front are the LED headlamps and dynamic grille design with the trademark logo emblem across the front of it. Signature LED lights complement the rear as well. Low-beam headlights are automatic, becoming operational based on light sensors.

Keeping to its stylish good looks incorporated with utility, the Explorer features a quad-tip exhaust. It has four passenger doors with neat trim underneath and a liftgate in the back. Colors range from ruby red to blue to agate black to Oxford white.

Vehicle Features

• Engine: 3.5 liter, 6 cylinder

• Transmission: 6-speed shiftable automatic

• 290 horsepower

• Basic model provides cloth upholstery interior

• Manual climate control

• USB port

• Gas mileage: 17 mpg city/ 24mpg highway

Optional Features on Base Model

• Choice of two towing packages

• 2.3-liter turbocharged engine (Ecoboost and 4-cylinder)

A customer-oriented car dealership, such as Boucher in Janesville, can help people decide whether a base model Explorer is sufficient for all their needs or whether they require a higher trim.

Higher Trim Models

XLT 4 Door SUV

This trim offers rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. More optional perks are available for the XLT as opposed to the base version, including hands-free liftgate, dual-zone climate control, and Sync 3.

Limited

The Limited offers options for additional luxury while keeping the costs significantly lower than a top-of-the-line new vehicle. The interior features leather upholstery, power-folding split-bench seats for the third row, and a heated steering wheel. Air filtration comes standard for the Limited Explorer.

The Limited luxury package includes 20-inch premium painted machined aluminum wheels, chrome mirror caps, and a leather steering wheel. It also includes Active Motion on the front seats. It is functional enough to take on a fishing trip to Kenosha and still sufficiently attractive to grace Wanaki Golf Course in Menomonee Falls.

Standard Features on Limited Exterior

• Power-folding, driver memory mirrors

• Chrome roof rack side rails

• Foot-activated liftgate

• Chrome bodyside accents with Explorer engraving

• Black bumpers and side claddings

Standard Features on Limited Interior

• Front and rear-view cameras with built-in washers

• 110 volt outlet and four 12 volt powerpoints

• Power door locks, power windows

• Remote start capability

Optional Features on Limited

• Automatic high-beam headlamps

Sport

As implied, the Sports trim’s focus is mostly on performance. The suspension is sports-tuned and customers can choose among nine different styles of 20-inch wheels. A powerful engine features a twin-turbo V6.

The Sport trim has a unique look with its black mesh grille, high gloss black roof side rails, blackout treatment of the taillamps, and black exterior handles. The side view mirror also has a black gloss finish and features LED signal indicators and approach lamps.

A Sport Explorer has a Terrain Management System perfect for shifting during off-road driving. Mud/ruts is an example of one of the four settings. The Sport also has independent front and rear suspensions, Electronic Power Assist Steering. Hill Start Assist, and Hill Descent Control. Intelligent 4WD can prove invaluable in certain driving conditions in places like Milwaukee.

Several of the devices that come standard with the Platinum or Limited can be added as an option to the Sport. These include a few advanced safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Warning. Also optional are front view camera, power tilt steering wheel, 110-volt outlet, and ambient lighting.

Platinum

Finally, the Platinum offers the ultimate in comfort and luxury with premium leather seats and a panoramic sunroof. Accessories are catered for convenience and extend to the highest quality sound system.

The additional care and quality are evident on first sight of the Platinum model. The grille is finished with satin chrome as are the roof rack side rails. Rain-sensing wipers, LED fog lights, and Automatic Halogen Reflector High Beams round out this SUV’s sleek and sophisticated impression. Not only is the Explorer good for looks though. Many of its features are designed to improve safety for drivers in West Bend, Wisconsin, and other places where inclement weather is common.

Standard interior features for the Platinum trim in addition to those found in the Limited are a Twin-panel moonroof and Platinum-branded floor mats. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and provides secondary audio controls. The seats are Nirvana leather with quilted inserts for extra comfort.

Stand-Out Options for the Explorer

Towing package

The Explorer can tow up to 5,000 pounds with the correct gear. Standard equipment is the Class III trailer tow package, which comes with a frame-mounted hitch, oil cooler, and seven-pin connectors. Hauling horses between Janesville and Thiensville seems like nothing with a properly equipped Explorer.

Safety

The Explorer’s airbag technology is second to none with passenger knee airbags and Safety Canopy System that deploys airbags for outboard passengers. An SOS post-crash alert system automatically sounds the horn and switches on emergency flashers if airbags deploy. Finally, Explorers come standard with traction control and Roll Stability Control, ideal for icy or rainy conditions in Milwaukee, for instance.

An optional Smart & Safety Package offers forward collision control with brake support and Lane-Keeping System to guard against drift.

Conclusion

A sport utility vehicle is a sensible purchase. It does not even have to be a top-end luxury or performance model to accommodate the busy lifestyles of people contending with snow and rain, trying to transport livestock or heavy equipment, or simply dealing with day-to-day work commutes. In a class that has become extremely competitive, the Explorer holds its own both in appearance and function. Boucher in Kenosha, West BendMenomonee Falls, Thiensville, or Janesville can help you find the perfect Ford Explorer to fit your everyday needs.
